Becarful of what you wish for..
Hunt is too experienced a striker for BB to trade hands with. Good fight tho.
Hunt is way over the hill. Wouldn't be fair.
I like this fight. Winner of Hunt/Reem vs Beast
Hunt would destroy him, I like bb, he's got power but not a great strike.. Matt Mitrione kod him for fucksaike
I'd love to see Hunt KO the black beast. While not a Travis fan his comments after the fight were deplorable.
Mark Hunt loves sloppy brawls. The last thing you would want to do is that. Crocop, Stipe, Overeem, Fedor and JDS all avoided trying to brawl with him in the inside.
Hunt is more technical....will land....lewis will get ko'd....hunt will be renamed, the beastmaster!!
Mark Hunt should win by being the better striker
Hunts last two fights before Lesnar were him knocking out Mir and Bigfoot in the first.
Roy Nelson never looked that good.
Mir and Bigfoot are way beyond washed-up. Lewis is in his physical prime, and hasn't been through a fraction of the KOs/wars that Mir and Bigfoot have.
Again, I think a younger Hunt wins this, but people are ignoring the effects of age and cumulative damage.
BB wins by DQ as Hunt drowns the entire crowd in tears while swearing at them and claiming all the fans put needles in their ass and something about "fucking cheethas" so he also gets fined by PETA.
Hope Hunt KOs Reem so it can be made.
Them being washed up played a part in old man Hunt carving them up no doubt. Roy Nelson didn't look as good against Bigfoot and I'd still pick Mir over Roy.
I'm saying the Roy comparison is awful. Roy has been figured out and any heavyweight who can't avoid that right hand by now deserves the concussion they get from it. Roy is looking as worse than ever.
Mark Hunt looks as good as he ever has. For what small slips he's developed in age he's more than compensated for by developing a competent ground game and takedown defense. Lesnar didn't even come close to finishing him.
I don't even think his striking has slipped. MMA striking isn't K-1 striking and I think his improvements to the different timing and distance counter whatever he's lost in speed and reflexes.
Can't really argue the chin though.
lewis is tailor made for hunt.
Hunt has been actively fighting since 1999. He hasn't been KO'd as many time as Overeem or Mir, but has taken a huge amount of damage over the years--including a horrible GnP beating by Stipe and a decent pounding by Lesnar. He was even KO'd on his feet by Werdum...there's no way that would happen to a 2005 Mark Hunt. His chin has definitely softened and his speed/reflexes have certainly declined over the years. Often, chin/speed/reflexes are what really matters when two HWs collide. Just being a little quicker to the punch (or being able to slip punches a little faster) makes all the difference when two monsters collide and start swinging.
He's not as predictable as Nelson, but he's more and more dependent on landing a huge and rather telegraphed punch. That's what happens when you get old.
This fight would be SICK! Really hope it happens
I would love to see that...It is always beautiful when the little smash big guys. Love Hunt and Vovchanchyn
I agree with the most, but I observe that old fighters timing usually get better. Not always, because it depends on reflexes too, but Hunt and Belfort are 2 examples of timing improving as old as they get
It's a toss up. Hunt might have the chin to withstand enough hits to get a good body shot in.
