Not exactly UFC related, although we do have some fighters near the area: Mike Jackson, Derrick Lewis, Sage Northcutt, Tonya Evinger, probably more that I am missing.

Anyway, it's turned out to be a major disaster, so if you have a few extra bucks kicking around your wallet, feel free to pitch it in, every little bit helps:

I read that Oregon Safeways are accepting donations via Safeway Foundation, which I think is tax deductible recognized by IRS.

Guys check with your work. Mine matches charitable donations up to $1000 so you maybe give $100 and they get $200.

Yea fook the Red Cross, what a bs corporation. Less than 10% of their donations actually go to the victims.

JJWatt foundation on the other hand is an actual giving and helping charity. Saw one of their trucks bring in thousands of clothes, water and blankets to a shelter I was helping at.

Yes it is really that bad here in Houston. Downtown area got hit bad. Postal services are suspended til next week. Fun fun.

Let's petition Dana White to create a UFC card with parts of the earnings going to the victims of Houston.

eeI wouldn't go that far about the Red Cross. It's pretty good in terms of ratio of aid to every dollar.

Most of the criticism stems from the Hurricane Sandy disaster.

But their track record isn't bad.

My north Houston suburbian paradise of Kingwood was once again ravaged by flooding. Others in my beloved town need assistance.
