Speaking of "Asian washed", isn't Edward Elric Asian in the FMA movie? Wtf.
Japan: 99% Japanese, 0.3% white, international revenue makes up 5% of total revenue.
U.S: 63% White, 5% asian, international revenue makes up 50% of total revenue.
There are 15x more asians in the US than whites in Japan by percentage.
For ppl complaining why arent they asian.
First of all almost every anime has based their looks from western influence.
Secondly, this is a hollywood movie. Unless the major star power demographic is asian most people will probably see it. Until then deal with it.
That said kinda reminds me of blade runner . Will see for sure.
the main demographic still makes up white people. And Scarlett Johansson has a bigger name value in asia than some random asian american actress.
Mental gymnastics as usual, and what does that have to do with AoT movie made in Japan? I give you statistics, you give me circular reasoning. We've spoken before Yod, you and I both know what you are.
Later Uncle W.
Scarlett dont look like the Major, scarjo has big nose bridge, sharp angular features, massive overbite, simian like features, and thin bony face, she looks way older than the major too. Major has a wide, flat face, low nose bridge and sleek features, youthful appearance and no skin imperfections like moles and wrinkles. Major doesn't look like bird faced Scarjo.
And I'm sure you'd kick her out of bed too, am I right?
people butthurt as fuck over ScarJo lmao
well, tough shit. go do a sit-in and grab some play-doh and coloring books.
get over it, geez.
Meh, dont like her face, body is OK though I guess. Maybe put a bag over her face and hit it and quit it.

New International Trailer for GHOST IN THE SHELL
I think I'm officially hyped for this. I never did see the anime but I'm liking these trailers.
Most Anime is geared towards teengagers and is kinda shite.
When I was young I used to sometimes watch the Animes on SBS (Internation movies) and Ghost in the Shell, Akira and Battle Angel Alita imho were the only decent ones.
I wonder if they are going to keep the music score from the the Anime. They should.
I was into it back in the day. My favorites were Ninja Scroll, Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, Vampire Hunter D and the Berserk series.
Not long ago I started watching Death Note and it was pretty good.
I was skeptical at first but I like what I've been seeing from the trailers and teasers lately.
It really does look like they're going to respect the source material.
One day Im going to have an Anime marathon and go through a bunch of top rated series.
I have heard Death Note is decent.
pipe down bucko.
We have the same mid 90s anime background. How about Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie? That was one of my favorite movies alongside Ninja Scroll back then.
Yeh I get that aswell but she is playing a Cyborg.
