I think I've watched Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie a dozen times but might have watched Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture once or twice. I forgot what happened on FF. Was Mai Shiranui nude in that one?

I really need to rewatch both, but I'm the opposite. I think I watched the Street Fighter movie only once, but I've seen Fatal Fury possibly as many as 20 times. I just really loved its energy, characters and the world it built. Not sure if you remember, but there were two non-feature length Fatal Fury animes before The Motion Picture. TMP is easily the best though.

And it's been several years since I last saw FF but I think there might have been a shower scene where she was nude. Man, Mai Shiranui, what a hottie. That Andy Bogard was a lucky dude.

    Love this scene:

Yeah she had a shower scene, and some serious boob physics in several others.

Nude, genitalia/nipple free bodysuit Scar Jo is going to make this movie so much money.

I'm not getting myself to hyped for this. I'm really into this subject matter (AI, cyborgs, etc) and I really into Anime. I've tried several times to watch this anime and it's various forms and I could never get into it at all. It's just so boring and the story is not told in a way that's easy to understand.

Will see how the movie does but I'm just not hopeful with everything I've seen from the anime.

That cgi punch at 20 seconds looked horrible.
Wait, is this a live action remake of the movie?

Yeah, it's starting to seem like a remake of the 1995 version.

It definitely has a sterile, intellectual quality which is unique and an acquired taste. What's interesting about GiTS throughout all its incarnations is that the tone has remained relatively consistent. I kind of wonder if this movie, being Hollywood, will inject some levity and life into it.

Might be the most accessible version of the material you'll ever get.

That's what I'm hoping for honestly cause like I said I'm really into this subject matter in shows/movies it fascinates me. I think the way you described GiTS anime is perfect and it just doesn't interest me. I've tried getting like 5-8 episodes in and in the end I just don't like it.

Have you tried watching the 1995 film? I started with Stand Alone Complex and couldn't get into it after a dozen episodes but I watched the movie afterwards and loved it.

I also enjoyed Arise, found it much more accessible than SAC. With Stand Alone Complex you can miss just a minute of an episode and be totally lost for multiple episodes lol. Check out this trailer and see if you like it

I can't remember if I watched the movie. If I did I don't remember it anymore. I did plan on checking out Arise just haven't done it yet. I have it loaded and ready on my media center. I'll need to check it out and see if it's any better.

Funny, I liked everything else GITS (even Innocence grew on me) but Arise sort of left me cold. I think it's the jailbait design of the Major that did it.
