    Actually I did know that

Reminds me of when I was at the gym (was named Get Cyced at the time -- now YouFit) doing curls to pump my biceps muscles and I look to the curl rack right next to me and none other than Dwayne Johnson (you probably know him as The Rock) is doing calf raises. He's billed at 6'5" but he was a good 1.5-2 inches shorter than me and I'm just over 6'3" in shoes.

do you normally get to keep Pension if you resign?

I thought it mainly was Unemployment that was effected by if you're fired or not

It's not a problem. I think you're really underestimating the difference in states that are not right to work states. There is no way I would resign from a job as long as I lived in Ohio, I would pretty much force them to fire me. I would not want to give up the potential for unemployment/pension/whatever. I would only really re-sign if I was leaving for another position, and that would most assuredly be on good terms.

Are you still doing medical coding?

Billing? Yea, I don't code though, coding is a whole separate issue. My evaluation just came up though, and I put it on my sheet of things I'd like to learn how to do, if I learn how to code that's like a $10/hr raise right there, the test is tough as balls though. My boss has been in the industry almost 20 years, and she took the test a few years ago just for shits and giggles and barely passed lol

Don't they have some study guide that has all the material covered that you can buy? Probably would be a good investment for you.

Yea, we have it at our office. To take the test though, you have to pay a few hundred bucks, which my boss would cover, but she'd have to know for sure that I was going to pass.

Like I said, I put it on my evaluation report that I made yesterday, so once my raise kicks in at the beginning of next month, we're going to go over a lot of the new stuff I'll be doing.

You should do it. Most of those guides make the exams extremely easy. I just passed a FINRA exam the other day using one of these study programs. I had 3 hours to take the test and only needed an hour and half. They are really comprehensive.

Alright, awesome. I'll ask her about it before I leave today, it would also be good just to add to my resume. I already updated my resume last month to include this job, because if my raise isn't what I want to be, I'm going to look elsewhere for a similar job. Found a few that pay better and full benefits, our company is too small to afford to give employees health benefits, and obviously affordable health insurance is something everyone needs.

    Here's the literal definition.

Medical coding is the transformation of healthcare diagnosis, procedures, medical services, and equipment into universal medical alphanumeric codes. The diagnoses and procedure codes are taken from medical record documentation, such as transcription of physician's notes, laboratory and radiologic results, etc.

Sounds like a lot of memorization. Just make sure you put enough time and effort studying to pass.
