We'll see how good (or bad) she is eventually.

It's only been one day, but my first impression is that she's very irritating to play against. Those orbs prevent me from attacking at a distance and I have to close the gap in order to mount real offense against her.

She's supposed to be a zoner from what I've read. Also her combos don't feel as brain dead as a lot of the cast especially when using her V-Trigger. She has a lot of potential though. I wonder what someone like Sako can do with her.

I've been messing around with her for a few hours in training mode. I can do all her combos, but not consistently. I'd really like to play her, but I think it's gonna take me a really long while before I can get decent damage with her on command. Like you need at least two separate crush counter combos depending on if you have the orb or not. And both the best ones that I've found so far require what, for me, is pretty tight timing. Especially the without-the-orb crush counter combo; it requires dashing after the crush to continue your combo, and I'm not very good at dashing on a stick.

I really like her orb buttons, though. The range on them is pretty nuts, and I like the idea of being able to zone with normals without the difficulty of playing character with slow walk speed like Dhalsim.

There are already some pretty fantastic Vtrigger combos people have found. I, uh, won't be using any of these I don't think.

Something I already found is that she has what I think is a really strong tick throw game. Her standing light punch is plus 3 on block and pushes her out of throw range (at least on Rashid, I haven't tried it against a character like Bison). The thing is, the other character is still within her throw range. So basically I can meaty light punch and then just hang back and wait for the whiff without even needing to take a step back. The only downside is that she doesn't get much damage unless her orb is already out, but that shouldn't be too hard to set up in the corner.

I played a little battle lounge today but haven't given her a shot yet. I did play some people using her and as I guessed it, annoying! Especially when she has your cornered. That really sucked. I'm will to bet that Zeku might be a rekka character but its just a hunch.

@Crimson Fury is the original SF on fightcade? I loved the Great Wall stage, thought it was pretty awesome.

And hasn't Guile been a bad matchup for Gief for most of the SF games? Then again, this is Itazan who beat FChamp's Dhalsim.

I have SF1 on my RetroPie. It isn't worth playing, honestly.

Here is some fantastic information for you guys. I cant cut & paste from Facebook, but I snagged a picture. This is really really good news (that we all pretty much knew was coming). Like I said in earlier posts, I hope they still balance the S1 V-Systems which I'm betting they will. I also hope this is released as a whole package and not in increments. I feel like that wouldn't do the update justice. Plus SSFV will get new reviews, players that dropped the game and a new player base overall.

If they're listening to the mechanic feedback, I'm willing to be they're working on the netcode.

@SwamiLeoni Sorry to bail, man, but I got to get up in 3 hours for work. I felt bad about those last few games because I think the lag was worse on your end. It was pretty bad for me too, but especially those last couple of games seemed to be going in my favor in terms of hits registering and the like. I wonder what was up; usually our connection is better than that.

Menat is so much harder for me to play. I can't figure out when to put her orb out, and trying to hit confirm an orb combo is tough. Ultimately I guess I just need to put in the time. She has good anti-airs, but dealing with crossups is rough. I wonder if maybe I shouldn't just slide or dash under instead.

All good dude, still fun sets. Menat is so damn annoying lol. But most zoners are I guess. New players to the game are going to be bitching all over the place if Sagat drops and they mold him into being a zoner. I can say without a doubt, currently my worst matchup is Sim.

Have you tried using her? She not that easy and takes some getting used to for sure.

Whos gonna be on today? SFV? 3S?
