Handguard and front sight appeared yesterday:
I recently purchased a new old stock Taurus PT709 Slim and have been pretty amazed with this little gun. It was pretty clogged up with old greese when I recieved it new in box, but after I thoroughly cleaned it I have put about 300 rounds through it without a misfeed. 200 rounds of Herters aluminum cased 9mm TNJ and 100 rounds of Independence 9mm Hollowpoints (Iwanted to make sure it would shoot anything). It is about the same size as a SIG 938 (which was also going to be my next purchase before I impulse bought this on gunbroker). I added a mag extension and it has been perfect. It actually soaks up recoil quite well. I just thought I'd mention it, as I have been looking for a place to recommend it as a concealed carry gun. Plus at the $210 I payed for it including transfer, you can't beat that.
My benelli MR1
Top right is WW2 era
Next purchase is a JC Penny Flenfield 20.
Did you get this?
What's that in the lower left?

Very nice. How much was the Mauser if you don't mind me asking.
$750 + shipping and transfer through gunbroker.
It doesn't shoot--the firing pin strikes too lightly. Need to replace the hammer spring and maybe the firing pin. Should be another $100.
Still, it's the Han Solo gun.
It is that. Very iconic weapon.
My brother had a comic book where the hero spends 90% of the book bleeding out while holding a broomhandle, before shooting the guy who had him shot on the last page. Blows him out a window.
I have no idea who the hero was. This was a Secret Wars era comic, and I was too young to read.
but not to young to develop a lifelong boner for broomhandle Mausers.
I know Nick Fury carried one, it may have been him.
The guy DID have a cigar and eyepatch. You may be on to something.
Did a little research--It was John Sable: Freelance. This was the issue.
This is my baby. I'm more of a knife guy than a gun guy, though i own 7 guns. Living in Canada also limits my gun options.
I also once got to hold a real Katana from the 17th century. I wish i owned it.
