Myrtle beach is the trashy beach I've ever been to. In general I just dont like the beaches on the east coast, not enough cliffs and forests like in the northwest. But you're spot on about the architecture and seafood

There's a bazaar in the middle of town where you can buy nicknacks and whatnots.
Used to be a slave market, feels creepy walking around in those open buildings, you look at the big wooden beams and to know miserable people who survived a horrible trip got sold there because they looked like they could work hard, long hours...

    Hell of a place, Charleston

Throwing rocks at nukes is the most important thing though. They're literally the scum of the entire military.

Curious, why is this (with nukes). I was in the Marines so I only dealt with Corpsman really.

Clemson, even though I use to live by Williams Brice stadium for most of my life. All of my friends cheer for the Gamecocks, but I'm a Tigers fan through and through.

Was there for a few days a couple years back. It's a super easy little town/city to walk around in; the Battery of course. There are some great little seafood places and there's usually a farmer's market that was open on the weekend (at least there was when I was there).

If you like history you could go to Fort Sumter. If you like atmosphere and relaxation the Waterfront park will do. If you like tours maybe checkout the Drayton Hall Plantation.

Foreigner is playing at the North Charleston Coliseum on Sunday.

As for restaurants Bowen's Island, Hominy Grill, Martha Lou's Kitchen and McCrady's are good options. All places Andrew Zimmerman has visited by the way

Along with all the other suggestions there will be plenty for you to do.

    Have fun

Well, they deserved that win over my Tide. I like like Dabo, but the loss still stings.

Admittedly, I was a nuke, so I witnessed the typical nuke Aspergerian fuckery first hand. I literally walked past LARP parties on a nearly weekly basis while I was at nuke school. Granted, most nukes get a little bit better once they get out to the fleet and get laid on shore leave, but I really wouldn't be surprised if the nuke force has the highest concentration of undiagnosed autistics in the entire military (and yes, I'm including IT and Intel guys in that).

Seriously, I'm a massive unabashed nerd, but nukes make me look like a fucking über jock.

Thanks a lot man! I googled all the places you listed. I have 2 questions:

-I'd like to eat some good ole BBQ but from a very local traditional place, nothing fancy or high end, something like Martha Lous Kitchen, what places do you recommend?

-I checked Drayton Hall and Magnolia plantations, they both have fees to get in and thats fine but when paying for wife and I you know it adds up; if I want to save money are there any other Plantation places where I can take pictures and see the houses? or areas where I can see you know... the houses.

Since you live there man Im sure you can give me some good advice, thanks a lot again!

Isle of Palms>Folly IMO. A lot less crowded. The parking's worse though.
